The vanilla SMP is the calm one. These two are not. One is a building server running our own modpack. The other runs TerraFirmaGreg, where you start by hitting rocks together and end up with a GregTech factory. Both Java Edition only.

Our own modpack, assembled by hand and shipped as a Modrinth-format .mrpack straight off our mirror. YuruMC Pack NeoForged 1.21 (pack version 1.0.0) crams 229 mods and 2 shaderpacks into one file, for Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge 21.1.228. Your laptop fans are about to learn what a Create contraption sounds like.

This one is for building, not surviving. Everyone starts in adventure mode so nothing can be griefed, which makes it registration by another name: join #yurumc-space:funami.tech and ask for permission to build.

The live map has eleven dimensions on it, including the Aether and a handful of planets. Yui has not visited most of them.

YuruMC Modded Survival: rocks first, reactors later

This one runs an assortment of other people's hard work: TerraFirmaGreg-Modern 0.13.10 off CurseForge. In the pack authors' own words, "Want more survival and exploration with your tech? A TerraFirmaCraft + GregTech modpack for 1.20.1.". Which is a polite way of saying you will spend your first evening knapping flint while someone in chat brags about their steam boiler. 262 mods, Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge 47.4.13, and genuinely no hand-holding.

Different versions, different loaders, different vibes.

Pick YuruMC Modded if…

...you want the kitchen sink. 229 mods on Minecraft 1.21.1, one download from our mirror and you are in. It's adventure mode, so your first act on the server will be asking an op for permission to punch a tree.

There is a live map.

Pick Modded Survival if…

...you think vanilla survival is too easy. TerraFirmaGreg-Modern on Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge. There is no wood pickaxe waiting for you.

No live map. The wilderness stays wild.

Installing a modpack

Both packs are ordinary modpack files, so any launcher that imports them will do. The vanilla launcher will not. This is the one part of YuruMC that needs more than an address.

Grab a launcher

Anything that can import a pack file: the Modrinth App or Prism Launcher for .mrpack, the CurseForge app or Prism for the CurseForge zip.

Import the pack

Our pack: the .mrpack from the mirror. Modded Survival: TerraFirmaGreg-Modern 0.13.10 from CurseForge. The loader ships inside the pack, so you never install (Neo)Forge yourself.

Add the server & go

Launch the pack, add modded.mc.funami.tech or survival.modded.mc.funami.tech, leave the port empty. Enjoy!

The two rules from the front page apply here too: don't lag the server, don't grief. Modded gives you far more creative ways to lag a server. Please be gentle; it lives in someone's home, not a datacenter.

The attic

Our mirror holds the current and past YuruMC modpack builds and a 1.17 world archive. Only YuruMC Pack NeoForged 1.21 is live; everything else is either retired or just visiting. Take whatever you want, we don't lock the attic.
